Coming EventsWednesday 25th January 2012: Twickenham in the Past Illustrated t alk by prominent local historian David King Wednesday 22 February, 2012: talk by James Heather on the Ham Hydro project James will give us an update on this exciting project to to generate clean electricity from a hydropower installation at Teddington Weir. This will reduce carbon emissions locally and nationally, and the income generated will be used to promote and develop further low-carbon solutions in Ham and surrounding areas. This talk is held jointly with the River Thames Society and the Environment Trust. Venue: The Twickenham Club, 7 Church Street, Twickenham, Middlesex TW1 3NJ Of Interest: Thursday 23 February, 2012: Thames Life in Art, organised by the Environment Trust An evening of talks exploring Work and leisure on the Thames as seen through art. Speakers include fine art expert John Iddon, art historian Catherine Parry-Wingfield and boatbuilder Mark Edwards.
